The Super Trends section allows one or more Secondary Factions to be assigned as trend confirmation factors. The system will fire trade signals only when the selected Secondary Factions agree with the Primary Faction on trend direction.
If Allow Any Confirmation is activated, the system will fire trend signals if ANY of the selected Secondary Factions confirm trend direction. If deactivated, ALL selected Secondary Factions must confirm trend direction.
If Super Trend confirmation requirements are not met, the system will enter Technical Ranging. In this scenario, a 'Ranging' signal will be fired, and chart candles and the Calculations Table will appear yellow.
To maximize the power of Super Trends confirmation, primary and secondary factions should be optimized to market conditions. For example, to use Wizards Price Action (Bollinger) as a Super Trends confirmation factor with Rangers as the primary faction, implement the following steps:
Select Wizards as the primary Faction.
Select the Price Action (Bollinger) strategy in the Wizards settings.
Ensure all boxes in the Confluence and Super Trends sections are unchecked.
Optimize Bollinger settings until the Calculations Table shows maximum NET Gain and minimal Drawdown.
Select Rangers as the primary Faction.
Optimize Rangers settings until the Calculations Table shows maximum NET Gain and minimal Drawdown.
Select Wizards Confirmation in the Super Trends settings.
Secondary factions can also be used for trend confirmation in the Confluence section. You will find a comparison of these approaches to trend confirmation in the Require Strict [Faction] Confluence section.
