Position Type

Generally, having set to 'Both Long and Short' is best if building a new strategy. Switching to 'Long Only' or 'Short Only' may improve strategy performance if the majority of large drawdowns are in the bearish or bullish direction respectively.

Ranging Mode

Switching off can dramatically change strategy performance if trend-based ranging conditions occur too frequently.
